Anton Ketov is a Russian artist working in various media: painting, graphics, sculpture, as well as performance and video art. He was born in 1978 in Moscow. He grew up in a creative environment: his great-grandfather, I.M. Ketov, was an architect, and his grandfather, A.I. Ketov, was a renowned artist who gave Anton his first painting lessons.
He received his education at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute (1999) and the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK, 2003). His work in theater workshops (1995–1999) had a significant influence on his artistic method. Ketov's worldview was shaped by science fiction literature, particularly the works of Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, Ivan Efremov, as well as the architecture of the 1920s–1980s.
Anton Ketov's solo exhibitions have been held in Russia, France, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Montenegro. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions. His experience includes working on museum exhibitions and the reconstruction of display items. In 2022, he founded the art group "GSP2022," focused on performance and video art.
The artist's works are held in private collections in Russia and abroad, as well as in the collections of the National Center for Contemporary Arts of Belarus, the Vitebsk Center for Contemporary Art, the "I-Gallery" (Paris), the Museum of Kastoria (Greece), and several regional museums in Russia. He currently lives and works in Serbia.
